Ronald Beasley is a Fellow of The British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy, and practises as a Couples Counsellor/Therapist. He is an Elder and Reader of the Church of Scotland and initiated the Sea of Faith Group in Edinburgh. Ronald is a reluctant pacifist, yet with a clear commitment to non-violence. He delights in music, poetry, and the Full Moon; valuing the zest of dialogue, good conversation, and quiet integrity.

Letters to God from the Wilderness is a deep expression of faith: the challenges, doubts and difficulties of a life lived in the close communion of an experienced counsellor with humanity. Ronald's questions are staging posts on his journey with God; issues with which we all wrestle, as Jacob wrestled with God in the desert. The book is a mature and honest appraisal of faith - a comforting and satisfying read, even where there are few answers.

Sadly Ronald Beasley was lost to us late in 2006. In his book, his spirit is so vibrant and his presence so tangible that we have decided to leave some of the text in the present tense. Letters to God from the Wilderness is dedicated to Ronald's wife Pam, and to members of his family.
